Service Description

In this lesson Grandma will be giving the Contents of the Chemistry book and explaining it to the impaired students. She had started to explain page two of the Contents with an extra picture of the last part of Chapter 3. So now we will go into Part III: Using Atoms and Molecules/page 85. It is Chapter 4 of the book called Chemical Formulas and probably will use much of the Formulas and Graphs in the back of the book Grandma will give soon. For now, we will keep covering the Contents with a repeat of the picture. The Chapter will have a summary and exercises with the answers. Next will be Part IV: The States and Phases of Matter/page 109. It Startes with Chapter 5 of Gases and the Gas Laws Introduction--Gases in the Environment Some Representative Gases Oxygen and Hydrogen. It will cover General Characteristics of Gases and Gas Laws and Related Problems. I am sure it will use some items from the back of the book in its extras. It will also have a chapter Summary, Exercises and their answers. Next in the Content It brings up Chapter 6 of Chemical Calculations (Stoichiometry) and the Mole Concept of Solving Problems, The Mole Concept, Molar Mass and Moles, Mole Relationships, Gas Volumes and Molar Mass, Density and Molar Mass, Mass-Volume Relationships, Mass-Mass Problems, Volume-Volume Problems, Problems with an Excess One Reactant, Percent Yield of a Product. It comes with a Chapter summary, exercises and their answers. The last in this Part is Chapter 7 of Liquids, Solids, and Phase Changes covering Liquids, Phase Equilibrium, Boiling Point, Critical Temperature and Pressure, Solids, Phase Diagrams, Water, Polarity and Hydrogen Bonding, Solubility, Water Solutions, Continuum of Water Mixtures, Expressions of Concentrations, Using Specific Gravity in Solutions, Dilution, Colligative Properties of Solutions, Crystallization, with a Summary and Review Questions and answers, That ends the second page of the Contents and Grandma will move to the next lesson for the next page.
