Service Description

Grandma of Grandma's Place of Natural Learning may have to give you all the information she has captured this week in two lessons, but she will start here. She figured out "The Giving Tree" was a lot of beginning conversations. Record a few and talk about them. The boy talks to the tree like as if it was his mom. The tree is very giving, caring, and loving like a mom or dad. The boy is returning of the affection until he begins to grow and like many men he becomes a little self-centered However, I have heard men having affections for certain trees in their lives. I felt it fit in learning about the "Tree of Knowledge" in Genesis 3 of the Bible. "The Giving Tree" is also good for Learning the first pronouns in our language. Grandma looked up not only over 100 but more than 160 of them. We may never reach all of them even in reading, but Grandma will give you all she learned there are. Grandma will only give you the ones she sees in the book and will give you the total list after that. The ones the book has in it. These are the simple words of "the, a, one, my, I, am, you, she, her, his, their, other, he, that, me, here, herself, an. (Get a notebook ready for the rest later.) Other grammar words we encountered with in the book " The Giving Tree" include prepositions as from, too, some, be, away, for, with, long, when, was, will, far, can, of, after, long, again. Other words to keep record of are what we call connecters including and. but, because, as, yet, so, for, or, instead of. These words used in the beginning of sentences are very substantial to Grandma because in College theme writing they are not allowed. My student teacher of my last year had me quit because I allowed the students to use them which I find out now she was from the old teaching that they were not allowed. I had found out later after I realized they were used all the time in children's books I had read to the for years. Now society realizes this happened. However, grandma pulling out of teaching over it she lost her degree and certificate. Later the college said I could be considered a graduate later in my life when I tried starting a big childcare in a small town, I did not know people good enough to get started in a librarian told me later and that writing was in newspapers and novels also. It is something to learn. we will continue this book in another lesson.
