Grandma's Explanation
Book introduction for Science at Grandma's Place of Natural Learning.
Service Description
Grandma is introducing one new book into the science learning called, "Great Stem Projects" edited by Zaina Budaly, art director Mary Sandberg. It is connected to the Smithsonian since 1846 but was last published in 2023. It has beautiful illustrations Grandma is going to use for you. Grandma has started with the experiment for a volcano for lessons. She is sorry there has been so many problems holding lessons back. Hopefully it will be better from here. However, she is going to explain this so the disadvantage can understand. The description of the section Shapes and Structures is saying that a section will be telling how some buildings and shapes are stronger than others, so this is irrelevant even though plaster and mountains are very strong. The stem project tells how a volcano starts closer to the core of our earth as many layers of solidified lava. that builds up and explodes out under pressure at certain times. The Stem will simulate that through a unsaturable container holding vinegar, baking soda, and a drop of dish soap in the middle of a plaster painted mountain. The Gnome picture was just for fall fun because Grandma makes them.
