Grandma's Place of Natural Learning presents the great ships of Noah and Columbus.
Service Description
The day can carry out with the same routines as the day before as singing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" as 7th graders have greeted the weather with the sunrise to tell the others. Others may have chores or animal responsibilities. For Breakfast they can have eggs, bacon/sausage. Potatoes, toast/pancakes/waffles. Be sure to talk about them and what is in them especially if made from a box or scratch. Today Grandma wants first to read Genesis 5:1-2 and see if they discovered the same thing she did as the fact it says in there that the name "Adam" referred to all men and women in the beginning and then the official "Adam and Eve came along. It reads as this in verse 2 that God "made male and female created he them & blessed them and called their name Adam in the day when they were created. Grandma feels all the animals of God's creation were in the youngest of formation before developed through the years. You see if you can see the same thing. Next, I want them to read about the Noah's great ship in Genesis 6; then I want them to think about the ships through the years. Like the Viking ships (later we will do lessons and talk about them}, the fishing ships, and how the conquerors and explorers thought the world was all flat and they would fall off. Then explorers like Columbus began to see it different. Explain how there were other explorers came to the Western end of our world and see what they can explore about and find. talk about and see what they can find about the Queen pf Spain in the time of Columbus. Talk about where these explores landed and Columbus. Talk about what they think happened after his landing and anything they can about the natives in Mexico and Central America Do some exploring into Columbus and the movement in that direction. Do some role playing and talk about our ships now days, what is happening in the black sea and around Israel today. Talk about China, Japan, Korea, and Tiwan. Look at maps and see how each of the Continents have been touched by the ships. Read about the people before Noah and what happened after. Look to the next lesson from here.
