First figure out what you have as a home and where you live. Then decide what style you would like to have and what colors you would like in each space or area you want to decorate and what would look good together as colors and such. Try to stick to three basic colors possibly through the house or connecting areas. Then start by painting walls (checking out various styles). Redo furniture if you wish to match. Add pillows and other furniture you can. You do not need to spend a lot of money if you do not wish to. Floors and new carpets do make a difference. Put new curtains if you can even if it is shears and shades. new lamp shades can replace old if you like a lamp. Make this an ongoing project till you reach the goal you want.
