Grandma was unable to present this on time to you as a class when I wanted to because of circumstances but each morning before class time starts you as a parent should be going through a session of children participating in getting ready for the day of learning by cleaning their rooms, after dressing and brushing teeth (hopefully it is organized), helping with animals if any (singing a song as "Mary Had A Little Lamb" from the Nursery Rhymes), those needing to run-run, those needing to practice instruments-practice, and 7th graders should be observing the sunrise. Parents keep track of the learnings on a notebook. Then babies are counting their cereal pieces or bites of cereal else someone is feeding and playing with them. The cereal and milk take measurements and counting even if it is hot. Record that time for learning. Grandma's Place of Natural Learning classes should be starting at 8am. Maybe yours are starting at 9am. It does not matter. There is a class in Grandma's Place of Natural Learning called "Creative Dance". It is in "You Tube". "Creative Dance" is an Improvisation of dances instead of done by "Choreographies". The children should do a warm-up for their bodies to adjust to this. Meaning they should stretch their bodies arms up high and reaching down a few times, sitting on the floor and stretching their bodies across each leg, bending joints and maybe a few jumps. For today's lesson they will be standing still in a space not moving anywhere and realize they are taking up space they will call their own. Talk about this and how each particle of matter takes up space. They can bend down or sit in this space, but the main thing is that they realize there is a space for each one of us. It is reserved for us as only ours, talk about it. Next you will explain to them how you will be doing things in these spaces a while each day for to various beats until you feel they are ready to do various songs and later they can do their own dance each morning. For today this will be all there is for this lesson. Next, they can get ready for the next lesson. However, they should have time for a child to give a news report and/or weather report for the day. It is best done at a table or in front of you. That can count as 15 minutes of science or social studies, drama, whatever you want.
