More Water Stem Projects 2
Grandma's Place of Natural Learning has more to give you.
Service Description
Grandma has some repeat of the experiments before plus understanding and giving one more. As the 4th picture shows some things about water, we need to learn in mixing clear blue water in the one jar and red coloring with salt in the other jar along with pins stuck in a bottle of water. The last happening in that 4th picture. it explains it in the 1st picture of a tightly closed bottle of water that pins are stuck in. The water does not leak out, not even when the pins are taken out of the bottle but only a little. The 2nd picture explains that there are two forces of gravity at hand. It tells that the water pressure on the inside of the bottle is held in the bottle by the atmospheric pressure from the outside of the bottle. However, In the 2nd picture when in a sink the top cap is unscrewed off the bottle and atmospheric pressure from the top in gravity is added into the bottle the water falls out the holes of the bottle simply because there is a difference in the atmospheric pressure against the water pressure in the bottle. That is how a pressure valve can work it holds back the water pressure of the atmospheric pressure pushing it by closing the pipe hole it is flowing. In the third picture, it shows how the molecule of the pure blue bottled water is lighter than the salty red bottled water. It says the salty molecules are mixed with regular water molecules making it heavier. It says that in real life a lake filled with this kind of water with the lighter water in the top is called are called brine water. The 5th, 6th, and 7th pictures show in a Stem with colored pencils stuck through a zip lock bag of water the water does not leak out because the water molecules form together inside the water and outside forces make the plastic form around the pencil keeping the water inside. The last 9th picture shows how a plastic water mill shows how fast energy flowing down onto the Wheels make it turn like a turbine transferring it into other energy as some water energy is lost as it flows off the water wheel. These pictures just show some properties of water in science.
