Chemistry is important to the learning at Grandma's Place of Natural Learning. For those impaired, Grandma will try to give the chapter in reference what tools in reference for necessity. The first pictures will be just for the Title page of Barron's "E-Z Chemistry" by Joseph Mascetta, M.S., C.A.S. Former Principal Chemistry Teacher and Coordinator Mount Lebanon High School Pittsburg, PA Science Education Consultant and Mark C, Kernion, M.A. Chemistry Teacher Mount Lebanon High School Pittsburgh, PA Grandma could not find the publisher's page, but the publishers page says it was published by Barron's Educational Series, Inc, 2009, 2003, 1996, 1989, 1983, 1981, and 1969. The next picture goes into the Contents of the book going into the Preface and Introduction which Grandma will cover as we go. Next is Part I: An Introduction/1; starting Chapter 1 Introduction to Chemistry talking about Matter, Energy, Conservation of Mass and Energy Measurements and Calculations, ending with a Chapter Summary, Chapter 1 Review Exercises and their answers. There will be 3 different tests in the back of the book along with Equations and Tables for reference, Glossary, and Index. Part II: The Nature of Matter/29 starts with Chapter 2 after the first part chapter1. It will talk about Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table giving the History, Electric Nature of Atoms, Valence, Atomic Spectra, Wave-Mechanical Model, Sublevels and Electron Configuration, Transition Elements, Periodic Table of the Elements, Properties Related to the Elements, Properties Related to the Periodic Table, a Summary and Chapter 2's Review Questions, the answers and explanations. Next is Chapter 3 Bonding giving Types of Bonds. Intermolecular Forces of Attraction, Double and Triple Bonds, Resonance Structures, Electrostatic Repulsion (VSEPR) and Hybridization, Sigma and Pi Bonds and Properties of Ionic Substances, on the next page of Contents it gives Properties of Molecular Crystals and Liquids with Chapter 3 Summary, Review Exercises and their answers and explanations. Grandma will have to move to the rest of the next picture of the Contents so it will not be given twice. Each Chapter of Chemistry will be given to your child within a two week frame when they are ready in High School or college. These beginning sessions will just be an overview of the information.
