As mentioned in the first part, we as 7th graders learned about the weather, clouds and such. I am sure they start experiments in 4th grade and probably start learning about space and our planets. Do all you can as it can be limited with 1 child compared to many doing different experiments. Start 'THE LIVING TREE" in Grandma's lessons, then move into "IT'S HALLOWEEN, FRAIDY MOUSE. There are other LIVING TREE books and many books with mice and one similar with a moose. Anything you read try to tie it to the language lists. Use the Home living time to the craft classes I am giving on Saturday's. Learning the basic stitches of interest or all to decide and then decide what you like best and use it give them all a chance and time. sewing was a nightmare between my mother and me till I got a ribbon or two and then she wanted me to enter the wool contest, and I got a few ribbons. I also learned to model and pot a show together for the Girl's Club in school and modeled at Elks Club my father belonged to. 4-H is a good place. Start with Asia after talking about the 7 Continents Using God and the Bible as a basis bringing the discussion of Egypt in there. Use the outdoors as much as possible. Work into Kingdoms, Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses the forests, God's feelings about his only son in Isreal and all of the First testament till December. Taper into Europe as you go and move into the difference in the churches and countries, the Vikings and I guess they discovered another tribe in Iceland before that. Read as much as possible and learn as much as possible. Just make sure you record your times in each subject and make sure you don't short the learning where you lose out on important learning. Just do your best. Cover all sounds possible in Language. You can cover Fairy Tales also, just make sure you bring them back to the present and reality. You can do the well know boat and soap experiment with others and lead into the voyage of Columbus before his birthday. You can do finger painting and talk about our senses, color or paint murals, learn to weave and do clay pots, learn various artists talk about sewing and do pillowcases or potholders. make aprons.
