Volcanoes and next experiment
Grandma of Grandma's Place of Natural Learning wants to get Science incorporated in her lessons.
Service Description
The Volcano experiment was showing how it erupts to make more land. Plaster pares with newspapers can be shaped to look like a mountain usually around a can or glass shaped container. When it is dry it can be painted in mountain colors. With about 1/4 cup of soda, a few drops of detergent, and about 1/2 cup of vinegar the mixture should rise up from the container to look like a volcano. However, maybe you may want to paint it after the plaster is dry and erupt it once the paint and all are dry.For the next experiment of a Dancing Snake. "Stem you will use Science: There are two types of electric charge: positive and negative. Separating charges creates static electricity, which produces forces that can make objects move;" The other Stem is the Engineering: The snake is light and the balloon electrical static is only slight, so it works. Draw a circle in a spiral starting at the tail and following the circle to the middle making about an inch and a half. Cut the snake out. Tape the tail to table or chair. Blow a balloon up and tie it. Rub the balloon on wool or your hair. Dance the snake head in the air to develop the electricity. Place the balloon about 3/4 inch (2 cm) from the snake above it. Have the snake dance with the balloon. as it moves above the snake. To carry the experiment further place a balloon with no electricity in front of water. Then rub the balloon to gain the electricity and watch it move the water. Cut little people from the crepe paper and after rubbing the balloon watch it pick up the crepe paper people. Push one balloon around with the other by rubbing each on the wool or hair. They push apart from each other. Grandma will write about "How it works" and the "Real World: Science Lightning Storm" works. For those impaired to see this through my descriptions of the Stem Project book Grandma will describe them as above. For now, you can use what I have given You.
